If you feel your rooms are fitted with more lighting than they need to be, installing dimmer switches to control the light level, or replacing standard bulbs with energy-saving equivalents, could lead to instant reductions on your electricity bills. If you need to replace any electrical appliances or devices, you should also favour products that boast good energy ratings, as these will use less electricity than alternative products on the market.
