Manchester is England’s second largest city and one of the UK’s most vibrant metropolises. Renowned for its industrial past and successful football teams it is of little surprise that millions of tourists visit this fair city every year.



There are a great amount of different places to wine and dine in across the city. Everything from traditional English pub grub to the most refined food of top quality restaurants can easily be found. One of the culinary highlights of the city must however be found between the gleaming gates of China town. Their huge global fan base means that Manchester has become somewhat of a mecca for international football fans and attracts vast amounts of visitors every year. The entire city is adorned with some truly magnificent architecture that harks back to when the city was a great industrial force. If you have the time it is recommended that you take a tour of the city to really understand why Manchester is a living representation of its history. Evidence of this can be found everywhere, from the gothic styled Manchester town hall to the recently completed Beetham Tower that dominates the city skyline.



The city also has a thriving music scene that attracts millions of people a year. If you happen to have a spare evening you should check out some of the popular spots to catch up-and-coming talent as well as some of the biggest names in music.



Whether it’s a relaxing week away or a short break to watch some live sport, Manchester is one of the UK’s most fascinating and has a bit of something for everyone. Getting to Manchester is extremely easy by rail or air. Flights to Manchester can be found for relatively cheap prices, depending on where you are flying from.
