There is arguably no better feeling than simply feeling good in both a physical and mental sense. We tend to take our health for granted sometimes, but in reality we need to work on it if we are to stay healthy for the long term.
Luckily there is plenty that we can do to tip the odds of staying healthy in our favour. We can never be 100% certain that we will always be healthy, but we can certainly increase the chances.
For example, one of the biggest things we can do is to keep a healthy weight. This is easy to achieve if you eat the right things and don’t eat more food than you need. If you have some excess weight to shift you can start making changes to your eating habits that will get rid of the weight in a slow but steady manner.
Of course it isn’t just the amount you eat that is the problem. If you don’t eat all that much, but everything you do eat tends to be cakes and biscuits, you will know where the potential problems lie. Try introducing healthier meals and snacks wherever you can. Think about going for more whole foods, i.e. foods that are made up of literally one ingredient, like fruit, vegetables or pulses and grains. This will help you to build a diet that makes you feel better on the inside as well as on the outside!
